Jack Petchey Speak Out

Jack Petchey’s “Speak Out” Challenge is a programme run by Speakers Trust and funded by the Jack Petchey Foundation.

This is a great opportunity for young people to develop their communication skills and gain confidence in talking in front of other people.

Students are guided through a workshop by a trained professional speaker who helps them master skills in speech writing and delivery. Winning students are then selected to represent the school at the Regional Final.

Castle View have taken part in the Speak Out Challenge for many years and have had great success winning the Regional Final 3 times in the last 8 years. Our students have gone on to represent the school and the region at the National Grand Final in London after being crowned Regional Champions.

Students who have taken part in the workshops and the finals have all expressed how much they have learnt from the experience and how greatly it has benefitted them for the future.

We are pleased to be continuing our work with Speaker’s Trust and the Jack Petchey Foundation in the next academic year. We will be hosting a workshop on 22nd February 2023 and the Regional Final on 9th May 2023!
