• Tuesday 28 November 2023 Share the warmth project! Staff from Castle Point, Find Your Active and Age Well East visited last week to finish the #ShareTheWarmth #Community project with students!The students had worked really hard promoting their project, collecting #Donations and writing individual post cards to be added to the share the warmth packs.#ThankYou to our community partners for working with us to deliver this kindness project and to the #HugInShrug Project for knitting some very cosy items that were added to the bags!The students loved being involved and were engaged in some meaningful conversations with our visitors about working in the community.
• Monday 27 November 2023 Year 10 visit Capital Group for a day of workshops and exercises Last week, students in #Year10 went to #London for a day #Trip to the offices of Capital Group, a financial services company, with Mrs Scott and Mrs Mechem.The event included #CV workshops, networking exercises and a competition to #Design an app! • Tuesday 21 November 2023 Wonders of the solar system, in memory of Mr Bazley Last week we introduced all of our students to the wonders of the solar system with a visit from the #ImmersiveExperiences company. All students across all year groups had a 10 minute session inside the dome and the presenter Zee Dinally was a huge success with the students! The reason for this day was in memory of Mr Bazley, who sadly passed away last year. The staff and students were shocked and saddened by his loss, and spending the day celebrating his work was a fantastic tribute to him.In the evening, we gazed at the stars in his memory and spotted the 'Bazley Bear' star in the sky. What a way to celebrate his life!" • Monday 20 November 2023 Op Sceptre Week #EssexPolice have visited Castle View last week as part of their national week of action - Op Sceptre week - raising awareness of the efforts being made to tackle knife crime. • Tuesday 14 November 2023 Minister of Sports! Last week we were lucky enough to be invited to the launch of Sport England's new investment initiative at Waterside Farm Sports Centre! We met the Minister of Sport and various members of Parliament... and challenged them to some games of Kin-Ball!
• Monday 6 November 2023 Community Kindness project #DidYouKnow that Anna from the charity @UnitedinKind and Kelly from the @AgeWellEast charity visited Castle View last week to work with a team of students on a #Community kindness project.Kelly said: “We received a wonderful reception at Castle View and were blown away by the enthusiasm of the students and the quality of their creative ideas.
